Hydroponics/Aquaponics to encourage Self-Sustainability and reduce Carbon Footprint in Brunei
Tue Sep 07, 2021 4:26 pm
Assalamu’alaikum and good afternoon, everyone.
As we are restricted and prohibited to do most things where we are currently at in this pandemic journey, locals working in agricultural do not have the privilege of “working from home” as what everyone else is being enforced to do.
Nevertheless, rest assured, we are strictly following rules set to us and to be honest, it is easier for us because we do not work in big quantities, at most, for example at the farm I’m providing my service, there is only a maximum amount of 3 people working per day on average. Social distancing ensured but of course, we are still equipped with protective masks to consolidate protection from the risk of infection.
Anyhow, I’ll get to the agenda now. I’m an Aquaponics/Hydroponics Supervisor at a Farm situated in Lambak Terunjing dubbed the Kabunku Aquaponics. You can slide into further details of our operations at our Instagram page @kabun.ku.
I served in the military before I came to this farm and to be honest there’s still a mixture of difficulties to deal with since this farm is at its early stage but it is progressing at a spiking positive pace Alhamdulillah.
If anyone is interested to learn the ropes of what I’m contributing back to the society post-military, feel free to approach me. When you have the time and once the pandemic ceases, have a tour at any hydroponic/aquaponic farm to learn the system (you can come to ours, Kabunku Aquaponics), we will provide you the required knowledge for you to start your own to contribute to the cause of helping the Ozone layer from depleting, even by a tiny chance. You can book appointments through our Instagram page (it will lead you to our WhatsApp business account for further enquiries).
That will be all.
Stay safe, stay healthy and eat your greens, everyone!

You can follow us on updates @kabun.ku on Instagram and ask from us directly from there how we storm through those challenges. Many thanks! Just a small tip for farming enthusiasts, “Prevention is better than cure”.
